About Star Elephants

StarElephants.Com was founded by four students doing their Bachelors degree in Engineering, I.T. and Commerce to showcase their elephant photographs and to share their passion for elephants with other elephant lovers. The site was published on 20th July 2008 at 2:30 P.M.

StarElephants.Com is the first social networking site exclusively for elephant lovers in the history of internet and websites. Elephant lovers around the world can share their photographs of elephants, festivals, write blogs, participate in discussions, add the details of the festivals to the site, interact with other members, strike new friendships with other like minded people, create or join groups, upload videos and much more. StarElephants.Com has got the best database of domesticated elephants from Kerala. This site also have the best collection of elephant photographs, much better than those available elsewhere on net.

We are constantly working to improve the site by adding new features and by updating the existing sections. A frequent visitor of this site will know how we have evolved from a simple photo sharing site to a powerful social networking site with loads of features. In a poll conducted on Orkut.com StarElephants.Com was voted for the best site for elephant lovers. We consider the suggestions and feedback by the members seriously and many features were implemented according to their needs.
